Arangio, age78, died peacefully at home in Media, PA on August 6th, 2017Devoted husband of 47 years to Carole (nee Broomall), loving father to Robert and Gina, devoted brother to Joanne Cacurro (Frank) and uncle to Andrea, Frank (Janice), Alysia and Cindy Caccuro.A Philadelphia native, Bob was an outstanding scholar and athlete. A student of South Philadelphia High School in Philadelphia PA, Bob graduated valedictorian of the class of 1956. He was later inducted into the South Philadelphia High School Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in football. Bob attended Temple University and become captain of the 1959 and 1960 Temple University football teams. After turning down an opportunity to play professional football for the New York Jets, Bob attended Temple University Law School where he graduated 2nd in his class. He then served as an Air Force reservist and became an accomplished attorney for 54 years practicing domestic and international law.His practice eventually became specialized in the automotive industry, where he represented many car dealers in the tri-state area and beyond. No matter the size of the business, Bob passionately defended the interests of his clients to follow their dreams and preserve their legacies as business owners.As a person Bob’s passion was the relentless pursuit of knowledge. He was a voracious reader of many subjects and in particular was a great student of history having read hundreds of books on the subject. At his core he was a gentle giant, an eternal optimist, an incurable romantic and devoted to a family that simply adored him. He was irreplaceable to so many who knew him and will be forever loved and missed. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017 from 6-8 PM and Friday, Aug. 11, from 9-10:15 AM at the Danjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Funeral Mass 11 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church. Interment Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Doctors Without Borders, USA, P.O.
