Loving Mother and Nana
Rose Marie, (nee Holzenthaler), age 93 and resident of Dunwoody Village, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.
Born December 11, 1929, in Mahanoy City, PA, Rose was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Sadye (Scalese) Hozenthaler and sister of the late Sylvia (late Joseph) Yankus and Tina (late James) Davidson. Rose graduated from Mahanoy City High School (Class of 1947) and went on to earn a degree from the McCann School of Business and Technology.
On October 11, 1952, Rose married her high school sweetheart, the late John David Pasersky, eventually settling in Broomall, PA. Rose worked at Sears Eastern Headquarters, St. David’s for over 10 years before turning her focus to family. Rose became involved with several local clubs and organizations including the local Woman’s Club, St. Pius X Church Choir, St. Pius X Church Over 50 Club, and Lawrence Park Swim Club. Through her affiliations, Rose made many lifelong friendships which she cherished dearly. Rose’s greatest joy, however, was the beach where she often spent time in Wildwood Crest, NJ.
She is survived by her children John (late MaryLou) of Upper Darby and Rose (Patrick J. III) Quinn of Broomall. Rose, “Nana”, is also survived by her 3 grandchildren Kristin (Steve) Vigland of Lafayette Hill, Patrick Quinn of Exton, Michael Quinn of San Clemente, CA, and the late Lisa Parks, as well as four great-grandchildren, Seth, Shane, Nolan & Makenna, and an abundance of loving of nieces, nephews, and friends
