Stephen Michael Downs Sr.

Stephen Michael Downs, Sr. of Claymont, Delaware passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025.

Stephen served in the US Marines as a private.  He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a Combat Action Ribbon.

He worked as an Automotive Hauler for over 40 years, traveling all over the United States.

He enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his mother Winifred Downs and father Edward Downs.

Survivors: Devoted husband of Sally Ann Downs (nee Lambert).  Loving father of Bill (Christine) Downs, Stephen, Jr. (Deborah) Downs, Edward (Sabrina) Downs, Kimberlie (Randy) Gregory.  Also survived by Sally’s children Christina Reed, Scott (Tara) Money.

Cherished grandfather to Michael Downs, Dallas Downs, Logan Downs, Colby Downs, Camryn (Taylor) Downs, Ireland Downs, Austin Downs, Jaxon Downs, Alyssa (Bill) Walsh, and Mackenzie Gregory.

Also, his great grandchildren Kaileigh Downs, Avery Downs, JJ Downs, Dylan Downs, Joseph Walsh, Baylee Walsh, and Haylee Walsh

Relatives & Friends are invited for visitation on Wednesday July 9th, 2025 from 12-2 p.m. at the D’Anjolell – Stigale Memorial Home of Aston, 3260 Concord Road, Aston, PA.  Funeral service will be held at 2pm in our main chapel.
