William “Bill” Eugene Alfano Jr.

William “Bill” Eugene, Jr., age 80, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Springfield (Del Co), PA, died on December 24, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife an son. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1963 and later Widener University (formerly Penn Morton College).

As an optician, Bill loved interacting with all of his customers at his business, Eye Care Optical, originally located in the Bazaar of All Nations in Delaware County. He enjoyed traveling around the country on vacations with his family, golfing with friends, and challenging his son to mini golf. Along with his brothers, Don and Rich, he was a member of the Eagles Sound of Brass marching band in the 1960s.

Predeceased by his parents, Joan (nee Miosotede) and William E. Alfano, Sr., and his brother, Donald C. Alfano.

Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia “Trish” (nee Field) Alfano, his adoring son, William “Billy” E. Alfano, III, his brother, Richard F. (Karen) Alfano, his sister-in-law, Patricia “Patty” Alfano, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives & friends are invited to his Viewing Saturday, January 3rd, 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM in the Main Chapel at the D’Anjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in William’s memory may be made to the Goshen Fire Company (EMS Ambulance Squad), 1320 Park Avenue, West Chester, PA 19380.
