He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine nee Montedrisio and loving father of John E. Peggy and Maria V. Smalley; devoted brother of John, Sherrie, Loretta Taylor and the late Delores MacClellan and is also survived by 8 adoring grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
