Ramona Rowley passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in North Carolina, surrounded by the love of her family.
Ramona was born on June 10, 1939, in Chester, Pennsylvania, and was raised in Wildwood, New Jersey. Her childhood in Wildwood remained a special part of her life, a place she always held close to her heart.
Ramona was the beloved wife of the late John Rowley and the daughter of the late Catherine and Harry Seaman.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved member of her family. Ramona worked as a bus driver for the Penn-Delco School District before retiring in 2009. During her years there, she formed many lasting friendships that she treasured throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, Ramona was preceded in death by her daughters, Lisa Rowley, Dawn Rowley, and Mani Rowley; her son, Little John; her sister, Catherine “Kitty” Seaman (Jacobson); and her brothers, Harry Seaman and William Seaman.
Ramona is survived by her children, Mike Rowley {Dawn) and Howard Rowley (Lisa); her grandchildren, Kaylee Rowley, Kyle Marchioni, Lisa Rowley, Thomas Rowley (Artlet), Stephen Rowley, and Michael Rowley (Brittney); as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members.
Ramona will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. Her love, strength, kindness, and devotion to her family will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 10, 2027, in Wildwood, New Jersey, on what would have been Ramona’s 88th birthday. Family and friends are welcome to join together to celebrate her life, share memories, and honor the wonderful woman she was. Additional information regarding the celebration will be provided at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ramona’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
