Carl Longo of West Chester, PA, passed away on Sept. 22, 2006 at his home, at the age of 89.
Born in Orange, NJ to Mary nee Marchese and Frank Longo, Carl worked for General Electric for 42 years in the capacity of purchasing manager. He was also a WWII veteran of the Air Force, serving in Spain.
Carl’s memberships included holding the position of past master of Hope Lodge in East Orange, NJ. He was a 32nd Degree Masonic member and was presently a member of the Thomson Lodge in Paoli, PA.
Carl was very active in the Hershey’s Mill community and enjoyed his work in the wood shop there. He was an avid fisherman and golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Estelle nee Aralle Longo of West Chester; his daughter, Lynda Hackman Harry of Malvern, PA and his grandchildren; Kristy and Kenneth and his brother, Frank Longo of Randolph, NJ.
A Masonic Service will be held on Friday, Sept. 29 at 10:30 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM at the Washington Memorial Chapel, Route 23, Valley Forge Historical Park, Valley Forge, PA 19481.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 1332 North Halsted St., Suite 201, Chicago, IL 60622 or to the Thomson Masonic Lodge #340, 19 S. Valley Rd., Paoli, PA 19301
