Catherine P. Faulkner

Catherine P. Faulkner, age 83, of Smyrna, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 29, 2026. Formerly of SW Phila.

Her family was her universe. As a loving mom of six children, she dedicated her life to nurturing, guiding, and supporting her family. Her home was always a sanctuary—filled with laughter and the comforting embrace that only a mother can provide. She gave her children the gifts of wisdom, strength, and unconditional love, values they will carry with them forever. Her devotion extended beyond her children to her eleven cherished grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She delighted in attending their milestones, cheering them on at recitals and games, and sharing in their dreams and accomplishments. Her hugs, stories and sense of humor will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her generosity touched not only her family but everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Whether offering a listening ear or a word of encouragement, she made the world a better place simply by being in it. Her genuine love for animals shone through, especially in the way she adored her two loyal grand-dogs, Cali and Max, whom she also held close to her heart. She leaves behind a loving family who will honor her memory by continuing to live life with the same compassion, strength, and joy she exemplified every day.

Devoted wife of the late Thomas J. Faulkner, Jr., grandmother of the late Thomas D. Faulkner, sister of the late James Gallagher, Eileen Gallagher, Mary “Betsy” Nell, and mother-in-law of the late Stephen Ware.

Loving mother of Thomas Faulkner, Maureen (Diane Smith) Faulkner, Eileen Ware, Kathleen (John) Rossello, Jacqueleen (Matthew) MacLaughlin and Patrick (Erica) Faulkner. Cherished grandmother and “Nana” to Kelly, Ericka, Jake, Cole, Gavin, Sloane, Victor, Finnian, Cailin and Patrick. Sister of Francis (Christine) Gallagher and Sister-in-Law, Janice Gallagher. Relatives & Friends are invited to her viewing & funeral Saturday February 7^th from 10:30 – 11:15 AM at SS Simone & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester. Catherine’s funeral mass will be at 11:30 AM. Interment will be at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in honor of her memory to the American Heart Association
