Stanley
David Troupe Stanley, 66, passed away suddenly on January 19, 2023 at his home in Woodlyn, PA.
Born June 15, 1956 to the late William C. and Rebecca (Troupe) Stanley of Drexel Hill, PA. He was a graduate of Upper Darby High School. David served with the U. S. Army in Ft Bel Voir VA, Ft Greely AK, and Ft Dix NJ.
David loved the outdoors, camping, road trips, cruising, and cooking. An avid railroad enthusiast, he worked as a railcar inspector for Conrail and enjoyed building his own model train layouts. Online railroading allowed him to design intricate systems all over the world and interact with people everywhere.
David was crazy about his pets. Pups Angel and Darby were always by his side. Kitty would tell him when it was time for dinner. He carefully came up with his own healthy recipes for their meals.
He was the same way in the kitchen. Chicken was a challenge for David. It could never be plain. He loved experimenting with new spices and recipes, presenting Debi with some very interesting dishes.
David is survived by longtime partner Debra Rodak, son William (Candice), sister Deborah Stanley Biberos of Scotts Bluff, NE, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of a traditional memorial service, there will be a Celebration of Life for David. Date: Saturday, March 25, 2023. Time:1pm-4pm. Place: Stinger’s Waterfront, 401 S. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park, Pa 19078.
