I am saddened to hear of Evan's passing. He was a great friend to Chambers Memorial Presbyterian Church in Rutledge, PA, serving as organist in the first years that I attended there. I think of him often when I am up there in the choir loft on vocals or flute, and hope that I honor his legacy by performing.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Joyce Carpenter left a message on January 16, 2026:
I interviewed Evan on the phone when Ridley Park Presbyterian Church was looking to hire an organist and I knew then that he would be an excellent addition to our music ministry...and I was correct! He shared his talent with us and became part of our congregation almost immediately. Evan was a true gentleman and I will always remember him for his dry sense of humor along with his amazing musical talent. Rest in peace, Evan, and know that you made a difference.
