Matthew J. DiDomenico, Sr. (“Matt”), of Wayne, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Matt was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was grounded in faith, family, and service. For nearly six decades, he shared a loving marriage with his wife, Dory M. DiDomenico (née Malatesta), building a home rooted in strong values, deep faith, and unwavering support for one another.
A lifelong resident of the Main Line, Matt built a distinguished career marked by integrity, leadership, and a deep commitment to the community he proudly called home. He was a respected real estate professional whose work spanned decades and earned the trust of colleagues, clients, and institutions throughout the region. Known for his steady judgment and principled approach, Matt believed strongly in responsible growth, mentorship, and giving back.
In addition to his professional career, Matt dedicated significant time and energy to civic, charitable, and cultural organizations. He served in leadership roles with numerous nonprofit, educational, financial, and healthcare institutions, offering guidance, stewardship, and service wherever he was called. His lifelong commitment to community involvement reflected his belief that success carried with it a responsibility to help others and strengthen the institutions that serve the public good.
Matt’s faith was a guiding force throughout his life. A devoted member of the Catholic community, he lived his beliefs through quiet generosity, compassion, and service. Those who knew him will remember his calm presence, thoughtful counsel, and genuine interest in the well-being of others.
Above all, Matt was a family man. He was a proud father to his sons Matthew J. DiDomenico, Jr. (Susan), Steven DiDomenico (Candy), John DiDomenico (Julie), and Michael DiDomenico, and a loving grandfather to Tara, Nicole, Julianna, and Madelaina, who brought him immense joy. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren, whom he adored. Matt is additionally survived by his sister, Irene Sakowski, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
In his personal life, Matt found happiness in life’s simple pleasures — time with family, shared meals, meaningful conversations, and following his beloved Philadelphia Phillies, a pastime he especially enjoyed sharing with those closest to him.
