Paul A. Miazza (“Dizzy”), of Upland, PA, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025. He was the son of the late Edward and Stella Busz Miazza. Paul was born in Chester and lived most of his life in Upland. He was a member of the 1962 National Champion Chester Suburban Teener All Stars. His love for baseball earned him the nickname “Dizzy,” as he would usually get dizzy in the field looking up to field fly balls. He graduated from St. James High School in 1965 and joined the United States Army, serving in Germany. After his service, he worked as a laborer until his retirement. On weekends you could usually find him manning the grill at one of the many parties he threw with his wife, Sandy, at their home in Upland. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies and Eagles. Like many Philly fans, he had as much fun complaining about the teams as he did enjoy their success. He had a legendary ability to hold a grudge and the talent to make up his own language even though you always knew what he meant to say. Overall, he enjoyed a good time and was a fun-loving husband, father, stepfather and Pop- Pop. He was proud of his Polish Heritage and being an Uplander. He was a member of the Upland Athletic Club and the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his parents, his dear wife Sandra Kirby Miazza, and brother Edward J Miazza. He is survived by daughter Kathleen Clements, son Paul J. (Candy) Miazza, stepdaughter Kelly (George) Michaelides, sister, Linda Miazza and grandchildren Callie, George, Paulie, Kendall and Austin. Relatives & friends are invited to his visitation Friday July 25th 9:30 -10:45 am at the Danjolell – Stigale memorial Home 3260 Concord Road Aston. Funeral service will be at 11am. Interment will be private.
