I am happy to have spent musical time with you Bear. You will be missed. The world needs more people like you. I will certainly remember the fun folk fest times and the Bill and Bear shows.

When I think of Bear I always think of his very distinct voice. He would call Lois on her phone and I would hear ( because Lois always has her phone on speaker) his voice say HEELLLLLOOO always long and drawn out. And I swear, sometimes I would look at her and she would be blushing. You were very special individual and the love that you had for your your wife, family and your friends, I know it was fierce. You will be missed!

Bear lived up to his nickname. He was fiercely protective of and loyal to his family while keeping a warm heart to them. You will be missed Bear! Our sympathies and condolences go out to Bear's family.

Bear was truly my soulmate. He was always by my side & helped get thru so many things - health issues & the loss of my loved ones. He opened up a whole new world for me & we made such beautiful memories. It wasn’t all fun & games. We certainly knew how to push each other’s buttons. lol but there was never any doubt about the love we shared for each other. Never did I think he would go before me. I place my trust in God that He will grant peace to Bear & maybe even answer some of his many questions. I know he is surrounded by so many loved ones & that someday we will be reunited. I loved him then, I love him now & I will love him always. “May your pineapples ripen in the sun”

Bear was my big brother. His love of music, history, science, the environment, and curiosity about everything are things I will always cherish. He is at peace now.
