DiMEMMO Loving and Devoted Family Man Rudolph”Rudy”, Sr., age 81, on Jan. 6, 2012 of Holmes, PA. Born in West Philadelphia on November 16, 1930 Rudolph was the eldest son of seven children born to the late Gilda (nee DiMarcello) and Frank DiMemmo. He is predeceased by his siblings Mary Wert and Joseph DiMemmo. Rudolph was a graduate of the Philadelphia Academy Class of 1948, where he met his wife of nearly 61 years Patricia. He was a very devoted and attentive husband and father. After moving from West Philadelphia, Rudolph lived in Norwood, Prospect Park and most recently in Holmes, PA. He was a long time member of the First Philadelphia Seventh Day Adventist Church. Rudy retired twice, first from Operating Engineers Union Local 542 and second from Amtrak. He was the former President of the Loretta Lynn fan club of Eastern Pennsylvania. Rudy also served as a Democratic Committeeman in Prospect Park. During his retirement he enjoyed spending his time golfing, woodworking and making heirloom keepsakes for his grandchildren. He loved his Philadelphia Sports teams especially the Phillies. Both he and his wife, Patricia, spent many years camping in their RV at the Berry Patch Campground in Honey Brook, PA. He is survived by his wife Patricia DiMemmo (nee Herring) and his children Rudolph DiMemmo, Jr. (Leona), Frank DiMemmo (Anne) and Diana Newman. Also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, his brothers Caesar DiMemmo, Frank DiMemmo and Pasquale DiMemmo and his sister Virginia Brophy.
