Adele B. “Debbie” Page
Adele B. Page, affectionately known as “Debbie,” passed away on March 31, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Debbie and her twin sister “Bobbie” were born to Gus and Lucy Massimiano, on November 7, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA. Debbie grew up in a close-knit Philadelphia family as one of six children. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters Lydia, Dorothy and Bobbie and brothers Arthur and Eddie.
Debbie met the love of her life, Hank, at a Naval Academy football game, in 1955. They were married at a formal Naval Wedding, in 1957, the day after Hank graduated from the Naval Academy. They had two children and a life of love, happiness, and many adventures. Family was the foundation of her life.
Debbie is loved and remembered by her husband, Hank; their two children, Chere (Steve) Onofrio and Hank Page (Nick Lanzi); four grandchildren, Paige, Michael, Michelle, and Mickey; and eight great-grandchildren, Drew, Will, Luke, Rishi, Pia, Max, Sadie, and Ellis.
Debbie led a life of leadership and community service. She was president of the Marple Jayceettes, organized modeling shows, and was an active volunteer at several organizations including the Melmark Special Education School, her churches in Newtown Square and Sea Isle City, and at her children’s school. Debbie’s passion for art, entrepreneurship and family led her to buy a small wicker store and turn it into a successful custom furniture & design store called Albert’s Interiors in Newtown Square. At Albert’s, Debbie worked with her two children, Chere and Hank and her husband, Hank, after his career with Sunoco.
Mom was also an amazing artist who designed and drew a cherished Christmas card every year. In her card, she would tell the family story by reflecting on new special family events, her grandchildren, and the births of her great-grandchildren. Friends & family would anticipate receiving the cards and many have saved every card.
Another of Mom’s passions was enjoying Sea Isle City where she and Dad made their permanent home in 2010. She loved to look out on the beach, walk the promenade, create traditions centered around holidays, and make her special crabs & spaghetti dinner every July 4th. They regularly hosted many from the Catholic clergy in their home, where they conducted masses in their living room and would then treat them to a wonderful home cooked Italian dinner. Debbie could also be a little devilish and we would be remiss in not mentioning her love for the casinos. She would play the slot machines for hours, earning her a Borgata Casino “titanium” card.
Debbie loved creating rich traditions, teaching lessons about love, respect, faith and family. We will dearly miss our Mom, beloved wife, Mom Mom and friend.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 8th, at St. Mary Magdalen, 2400 North Providence Road, in Media, Pennsylvania, at 9:30 AM. A memorial mass will follow immediately, at 11:00 AM.
