Andrew (Andy) S. Pettineo, Jr., of Havertown PA passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family and friends on May 25th, 2026. He was 79 years old. Survived by his beloved Life Partner of 37 years, Cidney B. Trainor (nee Rothstein), his loving daughter Tracy D’Egidio (Dante), the late Joseph A. Pettineo, stepdaughter Allyn (Aly) J Trainor, grandchildren, Andrew D’Egidio, Olivia D’Egidio, Sean Trainor-Castle, sister Anita Piccioni, niece Stephanie Carlson, and the late brother Francis Pettineo.

Andy was born to Andrew and Ida Pecoraio Pettineo on February 27th, 1947. He lived in South Philadelphia until he relocated to Delaware County PA where he raised his children and started his successful career as a Golf Pro. Andys love of golf began at a very early age. He was inspired by his father who was likewise a golf pro. His talent, passion, dedication and unwavering commitment to the game enabled him to become the Head Golf Professional at multiple golf courses and country clubs; two being Cobbs Creek Golf Course and Paxton Hollow Country Club. Andy had a special bond with animals, finding peace, love and connection in their presence. After he retired from golf, he went along to start his own pet sitting business called Andy’s Pals, where he cared for countless animals as well as their elderly owners. Andy loved the ocean and the beach where he spent many days with Cidney. He loved to walk the boards; people watch and indulge in fine dining. He held a lifelong passion for Corvettes and proudly owned many throughout the years. Andy was a quiet man with a heart of gold and would have given all he had to those less fortunate. His sense of humor was dry and witty and often unbeknownst to him, which made him even more endearing. The Big Bang Theory was his favorite show, and he quoted Sheldon often, usually saying “you’re in my room”. Additionally, Andy proudly served in the United States Army Reserves. More than anywhere else, Andy loved being home, where life felt warm, familiar and full of comfort. He will always be cherished and loved and will be forever missed.
