Born on November 18, 1947, Barbara lived a life centered on family and the simple joys that brought people together. While she appreciated many things in life, nothing meant more to her than her family. She was the heart of every gathering, the keeper of traditions, and the person everyone could count on for a listening ear, wise advice, or a warm hug.
One of her favorite places in the world was Brigantine. The beach, the ocean breeze, and the memories made there with loved ones brought her endless happiness. Whether spending a quiet morning by the shore or sharing laughter with family and friends, Brigantine always felt like home to her.
She was also a devoted fan of Philadelphia’s String Bands and the rich tradition of the Mummers Parade. The music, pageantry, and spirit of the String Bands brought her great joy, and she eagerly shared that enthusiasm with those around her. Her face would light up whenever the familiar sounds of a String Band filled the air.
Above all, Barbara cherished her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion that will continue through her children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to know her. She taught by example the importance of loyalty, generosity, and finding happiness in time spent together.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, the memories she created, the traditions she cherished, and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
Predeceased by her parents, Leona (nee Fagan) and Joseph Kady, and her siblings, Joseph (Miriam), Richard (Jean), James, and Leona Kady.
Survived by her husband, John Morris, Jr., her children, Kimberly (Julie) Morris, John Morris, III, and Michele (Ryan) Black, her two grandchildren, Megan (James) Jablonski, Jerry Wiernusz, her two great-grandchildren, Jensen and Olivia, her Uncle William (Kay) Fagan, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
