We just lost a wonderful woman. Barb was one-of-a-kind in today’s world. She was kind, caring, compassionate, dedicated in her faith, and a good friend.
I first met Barb when I was about 22. A brand new teacher at SS.Clement-Irenaeus School. She was a life saver. I used Barb as a resource because her job, as school secretary, made her a woman in the know. She ran that school and helped me tremendously. She always greeted everyone with a great smile and a kind word, and even a stern look, if it was called for. She had an infectious laugh and made life at school a whole lot better. She touched the lives of tens of thousands of kids and their parents. She was a blessing!
After I left SSCI, Barb and I and a few other teachers would get together for a meal and reminisce over the years. Through her many stories, you could hear the love she had for her family. They were always close to her heart. Barb could remember things from years ago and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was a person I truly liked and admired!
To her family, friends, neighbors, church community, and anyone who knew Barb, I offer my condolences, because they truly lost a remarkable women. So sorry for your loss!
RIP Barb. You will truly be missed!
