He was the son of the late Joseph V. "Joe Dee" and the brother of the late Joseph A. D’Imperio. He is survived by his wife, Luanne G. nee KopchaD’Imperio; his sons, Brian L. Jr. and Francis J. D’Imperio, his daughter, Alicia M. D’Imperio; his mother, Olga E. nee Gambino; his sisters, Elaine L. Andreoni and Mary Lou J. Borsish. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Erica D’Imperio.
