Bruce Michael Goldey Jr. of Southwest Philly passed away suddenly on February 12th, 2025. If you knew Bruce and his family, you know just how devastating this loss is. He was the loving father of Bruce Michael Goldey (3rd), and Brian William Goldey, as well as an adored Poppop to Grace, Hayden, Sophia and Brian Jr. In addition, his life partner Denise Alessandrine, Mother Sandra Goldey (Hiddemen) and siblings: Jennifer Powers, Catherine Amarose (Gert), Melanie Acavino, and Henry Goldey (Hank).
Bruce shared a love for many things with his friends and family including being a Notre Dame fanatic. Philadelphia sports were not far behind. Amongst all the things he loved and enjoyed, came tribulations. Bruce was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease back in 2017. Despite it being a rare and brutal disease, Bruce did not let it define his life in any capacity. He was known throughout all of his suffering to still check in on others and constantly remind them of his love. He will be missed beyond measure.
