Carol E., age 87, on December 18, 2024, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Newington, CT.

Carol died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, December 18.  She was a true lady and was a very kindhearted, loving and patient Mom, Wife, Friend and Grandparent who was loved by many friends and family.   She taught us all how to live a good life and how to age gracefully.  She was very active in her community starting when she was a young adult as a Worthy Advisor in the Rainbow Girls, member of Prospect Park Women’s Club, President of the Prospect Park Swimming and Diving Team Parents Association for many years, on the Prospect Park Board of Directors for 10 years, and a member of Prospect Park Methodist Church.  Carol started her career at Boeing Helicopters in 1970 and worked until she retired in 1995.  She was Chairman of the Boeing Good Neighbor Fund. Carol and her devoted husband John of 19 years traveled to Florida every winter and to Europe on occasion after they retired in 1995.  Carol loved her grandchildren and spending time at the Beach with them, reading books, and watching the Philadelphia Phillies.

Predeceased by her husband, John McDonough, her parents, Geneva (Kennedy) and Robert Tracy.

Survived by her daughters, Deborah Galvanek, and Lauren Tracy Clark (BG), her stepdaughters, Peggy McDonough, and Joanne McDonough, her seven grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Lindsay, Morgan, Meghan, Chandler, and Hunter, and her four great-grandchildren.

Relatives & friends are invited to her Viewing Saturday, January 4^th 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM followed by her Funeral Service 11:30 AM in the Main Chapel at DAnjoell Memorial Home of Broomall 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008.
