Carolyn Duggan Wigmore, Age 73, of Wallingford, PA, formerly of Devon, PA passed away on July 27, 2025.
Born in Darby, PA, Carolyn graduated from Villanova University. After a successful career as a municipal bond broker at First Boston, she married the love of her life, Rob. Carolyn was a devout Catholic, and she selflessly volunteered for many years as a cook at the former Regina Mundi Priory prior to starting her family. Once her son Stephen was born, she devoted herself to providing a loving home full of exquisite antiques, warmed daily with gourmet meals, and best of all, her unique sense of humor.
A true lover of books, Carolyn always had a stack of books next to her chaise from her weekly visit to the library including cookbooks, gardening, fiction, biographies, and of course, her Book Club’s next choice.
Carolyn was a kind, caring and very generous person with a terrific sense of humor. A wonderful storyteller, she could make you bend over in laughter. Carolyn had a “green thumb”, and an encyclopedic knowledge of horticulture. She found comfort and joy in her weekly walks at Scott Arboretum; most notably deeming the Rose Garden as her special place.
Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband Rob and son Stephen, her loving sister Miriam (John) Duffy, brother-in-law Rick Wigmore, and nephews John, Charlie and Evan Duffy, and Derek and Ryan Wigmore.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, August 1st 9:30 AM 0 10:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass 11 AM ALL IN CHURCH at St. John Chrysostrom Church, 617 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA. Interment Calvary.
