Catherine A (Cass)., (nee Bieler) age 84, on February 24, 2025, of Broomall, PA. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Her life was a testament to love, friendship, and the joy of family.

Predeceased by her husband John F. Deeney, her parents, Regina (nee Cunningham) and Edward Francis Bieler.

Survived by her daughters, Kelly A. Pezzotti and Kimberly M. Robb (Thomas), her grandchildren, Michelle (Chris), Anthony, Nicholas (Marlee), Dominic, (James Father) Olivia, and Ireland, and her sister, Patricia Rachor, and many nieces and nephews.

Cass, was married to the love of her life, John Deeney, for over 50 years.

Every summer since the early 70s, Cass and John spent their days at Spring Gulch Campground in Lancaster, creating lifelong friendships and cherished memories. These summers were filled with laughter, campfires, and the warmth of community.

Family and traditions were at the heart of Cass’s life. One memorable Family tradition was gathering all six grandchildren during the holidays for a special weekend known as “Craft Night.” The last of these treasured gatherings took place on December 1, 2024, at Crosslands, with all six grandchildren in attendance, creating one final “craft night” memory that will be cherished forever.

Her love for her dogs, especially her Great Danes, and her grand dogs was well-known. They brought her immense joy and companionship throughout her life.

Post retirement, Cass and John embarked on a memorable cross-country trip, visiting national parks, great cities, and various tourist attractions. This journey was one of many highlights of their life together, filled with adventure and discovery.

She had a deep appreciation for the history of Native Americans, their culture, art, and clothing. This passion was reflected in her home, which she decorated with Native American-inspired art and artifacts. She also loved wearing jewelry and clothing fashioned after Native American designs, sharing her admiration for their heritage with everyone she met.

For the past six years, Cass resided at Crosslands, where she formed deep and meaningful friendships with both residents and staff. Joe, her partner in crime, and Lois, who visited every week, were among her closest friends. The Care Partners, Nurses, Social Worker, and other staff members at Crosslands were incredibly kind and often visited her, providing comfort and companionship.

Cass’s legacy of love, kindness, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Relatives & friends are invited to her Viewing Saturday 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM followed by her Funeral Service 11:00 AM in the Main Chapel at the DAnjolell Memorial Home of Broomall 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008.  Inurnment Private.
