Your mom was always the life of the party, and a pleasure to be around. I remember her mainly fom her many visits to my mother's. When you saw her car there, you knew you were in for some laughs and an upbeat time. My sincere condolences to all.

I informed my Uncle Ruth's brother by email yesterday and he sent my back his thoughts. I'm sure he would have posted them if he was more computer savvy. So,here they are in his own "casual" speak... Deb I do thank ya for letting me know about the passing of Catherine. I met Catherine sometime in the early 50's and when ya met her at that time ya could really see something special. She had a zest for life and seemed to enjoy everything she did. We dropped in on her and Charlie a few times after dinner and they'ed still be at the table talking together and showing a true interest in the topic under discussion with an interest in each others opinion and I thought it was great that two people together with a large family could enjoy each other in that way. Catherine loved life and got an awful lot out of it. Ruth, Al , Charlie and I went down to the firehouse a few times when they were having a dance. I can tell ya one thing. She could jitterbug with the best of em. She was fun to be with and I've never known any one who got more out of life than she did and we can just feel good about her in that way. She did have a long life with the highest amount of joy over sorrow that she could get. With this in mind we can cut the sorrow short with the memories of the joy. I pray that she had made herself ready and right with the Lord and her name was written in the book of life so I can say, I'll see ya later.

Dear Shoemaker Family, My niece Deb was kind enough to share your dear Mother's obit with me. I remember your Mom and Dad so clearly from Haller Road. As I'm sure that you will all realize life takes us in many different directions. It has now been almost three years since I had the pleasure of seeing Cathy again. Unfortunately, it was at the service for my sweet sister-in-law Ruth. Your mom was so upset that day and I was very proud that my son Billy offered her comfort and later they shared a table together at the luncheon. Billy and your Mom had never met previously, yet on that day they seemed like old friends...just like Cathy and Ruth! Our sincere sympathy to your entire family, Cheryl and Bill Kehner
