Catherine V. Hornibrook, “Cass” age 83, of Southwest Philadelphia, PA passed away on November 15, 2024.

Cass enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed dancing, laughing, shopping and socializing.

Loving mother of Cathy (Guy) Hetherington, James (Ellie) Blose, Karen (Christopher) McCoy. Son in Law James Fries her late daughter Kelly Fries

Cherished grandmother of Brooke (Greg), Briana (Vanessa) Kellirae (Jake) Jaimelee (Matt) Declan and Harper

Great Grandchildren Lea, Kora, Levi, Axel, Reagan, and Brody

Sister Of Ronnie (John) Glaser, Rick (Nancy) Bunn, Patty (Tommy) McCall, Donald (Flossy) Riley and the late Charles Bunn, Edward Bunn

Cass is survived by partners William Hornibrook (deceased), William Duffy (loving partner)

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Catherine’s visitation on Friday Nov. 22, 2024, from 9:30 am. to 10:45 am., at the Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street in Mantua, NJ 08051. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am. Interment will be at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Cass was my sister in law for the past 51 years. We had so much fun on Massey street and at nan Rileys. She will be missed, but she is now with her mom, bill and kelly. And I am sure she is at peace. God bless Cass!

Cass was my sister in law for the last 51 years. Younger, we had so much fun at her parties, and at nan Riley house. She was a lovely person, and we will miss her dearly. She is now with kelly, bill and her mom, and I hope it was a great reunion!! Love you Cass, rest in peace

From the Beachcomber to the Poconos to the many, many nights I spent on Massey Street, thank you Aunt Cass for always opening your home to me. The times I spent with Kar and your family are some of my greatest memories. You will be missed.

Sincere condolences to the family Cass was one of the many moms of Massey St she always protected us from grumpy old Mr. Gresham when he sprayed us with the hose when we cut up his lawn to get to the Blose and the McCann houses where all the kids hung out. My favorite memory is the Easter we all had the pink and blue sunglasses from one of her "demonstrations:" Rest in Peace,

I met "Cathy" many years ago when I would visit Pop Pop McCann on Massey Street. As i grew up we had a very nice adult relationship. Cath always told me how beautiful i was! She looked beautiful herself as she was always fashionably dressed and had the perfect hair. We did share some dancing at my McCann cousins weddings. In her later years, we chatted on the phone & she would always say "Trish, why don't you come over and sleep overnight with me?" I never did but we did go to dinner a few times. I will miss your presence in this world. Until we meet again... Love you Cath! May you rest in peace❤️

Cass was such a huge part of my growing up. My mom & Cass were 2 peas in a POD. Sitting on the steps every evening on Massey St. I remember being the babysitter for both Cathy & Jimmy. When we moved to Florida she came to visit. Mom brought her to my house to show of my design talents! She said she always knew I would do something in the creative field. Whenever I did my makeup, or tried something crazy with my hair, Mom always told me to stop and show Cass. I will always remember her as a smart, sassy, & classy chic from SWP! Thanks for being a part of my life.

Aunt Cass was a second mom to the McCann siblings. We were always looked after and cared for. She also was a great neighbor being next door. From full blown Christmas decoration’s immediately after Thanksgiving to a Rocking New Years Eve shindig. She was a great confidant for my mom as they shared coffee almost nightly. She continued to be a great mom after Karen was born . The light of my life as a young teenager. She will be missed but not forgotten! All my love and prayers to the Blose and Hornibrook families.

I remember Cathy’s beautiful smile. She was always happy and a sweet person. She touched so many lives including mine. ❤️ Patty Banfi
