ZACCARIA
Charles E. Jr., “Chas/Zack”, age 97, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025 of Springfield, formerly of Aldan, PA.
Chas was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. Chas dutifully served in World War II with the U.S. Army Airborne and Military Police. He was first stationed in Guam, then ultimately assigned to the Provost’s Office in Tokyo, Japan. While there, he earned his black belt in Judo, training alongside the Japanese Police Force.
He spent his business career in the lighting manufacturing industry, first with Progress Lighting, then Sea Gull Lighting, where he served as their Vice President and Financial Controller for over two decades until retirement.
