Dorothea Mae, (nee Bye) age 85, on March 10, 2024, of Townsend, DE.
Dorothea (Dot) was born December 12th, 1938, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late David A. and May Hill Bye. Dorothea loved watching Bob Ross, which inspired her to start oil painting. She was a seamstress and a keen crafter. She loved baking and decorating cakes, every holiday she would spend with her grandchildren making holiday cookies. She loved visiting her family and friends in her spare time. She spent her evenings at The Smyrna Diner with family and friends. She was also a member of the New Castle, Delaware Moose Lodge.
Predeceased by her husband Norman Alexander, her children, Marlyn Bailey, grandson, Edmund Bailey Jr., and Edward Charles Brink, Jr., her sisters Elizabeth Schreffler, and Mary Miller-Igartua.
Survived by her sons, Bud Brink Sr., Mark Brink, and Larry J. Hummel Jr.
Survived by her grandchildren, Buddy Brink Jr., Brandon Irey, Sara Brink, Eddie Brink III, April Flagiello, Mark Brink Jr., Jennifer Hummel, Ashley Tharp, Danielle Hummel, and Tim Faust
Survived by her great-grandchildren, Anna Brink, Lucy Brink, Nikki Flagiello, Eric Stone, Liam W., Madison Tharp, Christopher Tharp, Emily Tharp, Lucas Hamby, Harper Nielsen, Grayson Brink, and Clover Brink
Survived by her brother, Dave Bye Jr.
Relatives & friends are invited to her Visitation Friday, March 22 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM followed by her Memorial Service 11:00 AM at the Danjolell-Barone Memorial Home 908 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA 19086. Inurnment Mount Hope Cemetery Aston, PA 19014.
