Dorothy “Dot” May Lehr, of Aston, PA, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026.
Born in Frackville, PA, Dot’s family later moved to Chester, where she met and married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Lehr, Sr. Together they shared 70 happy years of marriage.
Beloved daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Degler) Thomas; preceded in death by her siblings William, Robert, Fern, Faye, Jackie, Caroline, Faith; and is survived by her sister, Ruth Muraska (wife of the late Alfred), and all her nieces and nephews.
Devoted wife of 70 years to Richard “Dick” Lehr, Sr. and loving mother of Doris (Jim) Smith, Richard, Jr. (Shellia) Lehr, Kim (Dave) Bernard, Janice (Al) Misci, and Ada (Chris) Conrad.
She was a cherished grandmother of 17 grandchildren:
Jimmy (Kim) Smith, Tricia (Chris) McCracken, Tina (Brian) Bennett, Brian (Dani) Smith, Julie (Jon) Diodati, Richie (Savannah) Lehr, Cody (Katie) Lehr, Dallas (Lazaro) Lehr, Jennifer (late William) Stewart, Michelle Bernard (John Weikel), Brenda (Brandon) Clarke, Albie (Melanie) Misci, Alicia (Thomas) Kaestner, Kyle (Olivia) Misci, Rebecca Conrad (Mike Sarver), Emily Conrad (Justin Parisi), Sarah (Dominick) DiDonato.

Her family was her greatest pride and the center of her world. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Always up for an adventure, she eagerly joined in on family vacations, traveling as far as Rome, Italy on one memorable trip. Even in her final days, she smiled and laughed at the sounds of the youngest members of her family visiting her.
Dot will be remembered for her generous spirit and her willingness to help others. She valued not only her large family, but also the relationships she built with neighbors and friends throughout her life. She was often found at local ballfields cheering on her grandchildren or at home rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies. A faithful member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church, Dot lived a life of purpose.
She worked for many years as a custodian with the Penn Delco School District. In her free time, Dot enjoyed bowling at Conchester Lanes well into her eighties, building friendships that spanned decades. She also had a passion for cooking and was especially known for her delicious homemade meatloaf, soups, shoo-fly pies, Irish potatoes, and her famous chocolate-covered Easter eggs.
On any given day, she was happiest at home with Dick, watching her “stories,” as she liked to call her favorite television shows. She will be remembered for her love of life and the people she held dearest, always happiest when surrounded by those she loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, April 23, from 9:00 to 10:45 AM at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, 4020 Concord Road, Aston, PA, followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
