I've been Dorothyanne's boss at the West Chester school district since 2019. DA was a valued employee for 14 years with us.  As the Rustin HS Kitchen manager, she encountered many challenges, but I always knew that no matter what issues cropped up she would make it happen and get the kids fed. Dorothyanne always went the extra mile trying to try make the students happy and make them the types of food they want. Whether it be trying a new cookie or using leftovers creatively- she was always striving to improve. Personally, I always found her very easy to talk to and we would often chat long after we were done work talk. One of the last longish conversations I had with her she was telling me about being a grandmother and I've never seen her more happy. I will miss those talks!!! She made a lasting impact on many students and team members through the years with us and will be sorely missed. Thoughts and prayers to all of you during this time!!!!

We’ve known Dorothy since our girls were young and in elementary school, Girl Scouts and various events. Then we’d always run into her at various times and places around town, up to and including a month ago at the new Popeyes in the West Goshen shopping center. She was always so sweet and happy and asking how the kids were. We’ve always loved her and were happy to see her. We’re both (my husband and I) very saddened to hear of her passing. Sending thoughts and prayers to the family!
