Wish I could have been there today. I loved Aunt Edna and aspire to be the strong, kind woman that she was. I am sending the family love and light during this difficult time.

A smart, kind, fun-loving lady who called me her "other son". It's sad to see her go. She will be missed.
William Hatala left a message on May 24, 2019:
My mother always loved me unconditionally. Mothers and fathers know how to do this instinctively. However, I have no children of my own. "Unconditional Love". I understand the phrase and was comfortable with receiving unconditional love, but wasn't always comfortable with the giving. Through the grace of God and Mom's longevity, I did finally learn how to love unconditionally. I had no idea what I was doing, but in my mother's last months and days I did try to offer Mom comfort while she was at home, and then in the hospital, and finally in hospice care. She was always strong and independent, but became weaker and ever more vulnerable in the final stages of her life. Mom, thank you for sharing life's greatest gift, how to love someone.Love always, Bill
