WROBEL, EDWARD J., 94, of HavertownEdward J., of Westgate Hills passed away on December 14, 2016.He was the husband of the late Mary (nee Mauri).Born in Chester, PA, Mr. Wrobel was a graduate of Chester High and Temple University.He was employed by the Ford Motor Co. and Certainteed Corp. of Valley Forge from which he retired in 1984.During WWII, he served with the U.S. Naval Amphibious Forces participating in 3 island Invasions in the South Pacific. He also participated in the Philippines campaign and the Occupation of Japan.Edward is survived by his brother Alfred and many loving nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Saturday morning 10:30 am at The Danjolell Memorial Home 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008 followed by his Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon at St. Pius X Church.
