Sorry for your loss. I may have visited Toppers Bar a few times with my brother Dave "Reds" Maloney. I am unsure if I was 21 at the time but things were very different back in the '70's. Eddystone was a warm, fun place to be and I liked being part of the community until we moved to Media. I guess that was the good old days and I was better to have known Topper. .
To The Corcoran Family. Prayerfully wishing you and your family God's continue blessings during this grieving time and always.

To the Corcoran family, I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Topper. He was a good man and my first coach in the Eddystone Basketball League. I learned alot while playing for him and used alot of what he taught me when I later became a coach myself. Rest in peace Topper.
Topper was a classmate at EHS,Class'57.
He was always ( as noted in so many comments already) genuinely himself...
reliable, friendly and a joy to know.
Sincere sympathy and many prayers are extended for the Corcoran family in your
loss. May God comfort you all and give you peace in your many fond memories.

Bill, Chris,Kevin, and family,
My condolences to you and yours, Your Dad was an inspiration to me when I was attending Eddystone; as I moved to the ranks of School Principal and District Administrator for the Ridley School District, I could ALWAYs rely on Topper for advice...he did so much for so many! Dr. Jerry R. Lewis, retired Professor, Northern Arizona U. and Arizona State. God Bless You All and Topper, Rest in Peace, My Brother!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to Topper and all of his extended friends and family. I think we can all relate to the genuine ways that Topper positively impacted each of our lives! Among so many of our favorite gifts, I especially appreciated the way he could use any situation to enhance more positive relationships, and simply find the good in everyone...
"May God always bless Topper and each of our lives that he has so kindly touched." Thank you!
Dear Bill & Family,
It's Gina Giampalmi (Mesko) from Widener U Engineering. I just happened to be paging through obits on this site and when I saw Topper Corcoran and saw his face, I knew immediately it was your dad because you look just like him. Just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your dear dad. Quite a man who was loved by many. God bless you!
Very sorry for the loss of this great man. I mainly knew Topper from work at Foamex and he was very supportive of a fresh kid from college getting his ears wet understanding the job and helping us make better products for our customers. His nature of working with everyone at the plant was amazing - he was extremely well respected and EVERYONE would seek him for his opinion and counsel as he had already been through a number of battles.
Rest in Peace Topper
Topper was a great parent, gentleman, and good to the people in Eddystone, and everyone he came in contact. He will be sorely missed by many friends. EHS '53

We always had great respect for Topper, whether it was coaching against him physically on the softball field or coaching against one of his Topper's teams.
A bit before our time, but obviously a GREAT athlete in his time.
You will be missed.

To a dear friend and basketball buddy RIP Topper.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Throughout our lives, there are those who help to shape the person we are to become. Topper was one of those people for me. He was my first coach and I won my only championship in the Eddystone Boro Rec Basketball League as a member of the Chester Pike Honda County Cycle Center team. I had the priviledge to serve as a member of the Recreation Committee that he directed. His life and legacy will live on as we share stories of the great things that he did. To Bill, Kevin and Chris and all who loved him, my prayers of strength and thoughts are with you each and your loved ones. May he rest in peace.
Our sincere sympathy to the Corcoran Family at this difficult time. Topper was a great man. He inspired everyone he met with positive comments or thoughts of encouragement. Recently, he was helpful to me with the passing of my father. I will remember the great memories of Topper from the Chester Biddy League and Ridley Area Little League. His fine sense of humor and teasing that made children happy and laugh. More recently I communicated through texting, and I tried to keep him up on all the ball games. I kissed him goodbye last Saturday, but he will never be forgotten.

To my E.H.S. Friend in heaven. You were truly deserving of the name "Mr. Eddystone." It was an honor to be reared a "Red & Blue Sports Stoner" with special athletes like our "Topper." Eddystone Forever!

RIP Topper. Our family had the good fortune to live next door to Topper, Ann, Bill, Kevin and Chris as close friends as well as the best neighbors anyone could have. Topper's love, respect for others made him a terrific Dad, husband and friend. We will miss him greatly . Our deepest sympathies to his sons and their families.
Dear Bill, Kevin, Chris and the entire Corcoran Family, Our deepest condolences to you all. Topper truly exhibited all the fine qualities that others have written about in their comments. He had a special knack for making others feel better about whatever was bothering them and he made others feel good about themselves. His gentle manner always worked! May the perpetual light shine upon him and may all of you experience less sadness by remembering all the great times that happened in your family because of both your Mom and your Dad!
Our condolences to the Corcoran Family! We have many good memories of Topper and are glad to have them! RIP Topper

Topper was one of our crowd when we were teens. He was always the life of the party, he was a gentleman, a great listener and a really good friend when you needed one.
