Betty was born March 18, 1930, in South Philadelphia and spent her younger years with her four siblings as well as their many friends and family.
She attended 12 years of Catholic school, where her faith journey started. Betty carried her faith with her far beyond school. She was a warrior of God, instilling God’s message to all her loved ones.
After graduating she married her husband of 25 years James Lombardo and had 4 beautiful children, who were the light of her life. She was called by her faith to love and over the years acquired many additional children and grandchildren through her own children and grandchildren. Everyone called her Mom or Gram.
She later married her best friend Dominic (Pat) Patrone in 1982 until his death in 2012. One of their favorite pastimes was going to breakfast at Hank’s in Chadds Ford.
Over the years she spread her love, joy, and laughter to anyone she met. Her blue eyes and bright smile were truly show stopping. Betty continued the tradition of baking Christmas cookies, which she learned from her mom. Being Italian, you could never have enough cookies. She could bake 40 pound of Christmas every year! She loved to travel, dance the twist, play cards, do crosswords, bowl, and craft, but above all, she loved to be with her family. Betty’s family was everything to her.
