KOSTER
Elizabeth “Betty” C., age 92, of Niantic, CT and Broomall, PA entered into eternal life on July 27, 2026.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Betty was the daughter of the late Josephine (nee Hagele) and Henry J. Koster, and sister of the late John, Charlie, Bob and beloved Marie Koster. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, loving cousins and friends.
Betty was an active member of St. Pius X Church and The Over 50 Club. Along with her sister Marie, they together attended countless events taking lovely trips to many places with the club. She found delight in sharing these experiences with her sister and her friends. She enjoyed traveling the world, visiting family, friends and especially relatives living in Holland.
Her devotion to the Blessed Mother and her faith in Our Lord were the center of her life. A rosary in her pocket and a Miraculous Medal were always part of her dress code.
Betty loved playing BINGO and participating in sing-alongs especially to the music of Lawrence Welk. Her TV was always tuned in to a Turner Classic Movie, Gunsmoke, and her favorite, Andy Griffith. There wasn’t a movie star she couldn’t identify and knew much about their history and life stories. Truly a part of a generation that was special. She will be missed by many who knew and loved her.
Relatives & friends are invited to St. Pius X Church for her Visitation on Monday, August 24th, 9:30 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. St. Pius X Church is located at 220 Lawrence Rd, Broomall, PA 19008. Interment at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
Contributions in Betty’s memory may be made to the Sisters of the Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM), Camilla Hall, 100 Maxis Drive, Malvern, PA 19355 and St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd., Broomall, PA 19008.
