Francesco Morello Jr.

Francesco Morello, Jr. passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024. Francesco was born in the town of Amato in Calabria, Italy on February 14, 1937, the son of the late Francesco Morello, Sr. and Franceschina Morello. He immigrated to the United States in 1955 on the historic Andrea Doria. He later met and married his wife, Maria Morello (nee Giove) on January 2, 1960 at Our Lady of Loreto Church in Philadelphia, PA.
Francesco is predeceased by his wife, Maria Morello (nee Giove) and is survived by his six children, Fran (Henl) Eggles, Theresa (Russell) Viggiano, Rosa (Joe) Milaro, Raffelina (John) Iannelli, Frank (Lori) Morello, Ralph Morello. He has been a devoted Pop Pop to his 12 grandchildren: Jordan, John (Nicole), Amanda (Rodney), Nicholas, Rachel, Dalton, Antonio, Jesse, Briana, Lorenzo, Cole, Anjolie Raelle and Great Grandpop to Nyla, Zoey Rose and Cameron.
When not working hard to support his large family, he was an avid gardener, tending to his grapevines, fig trees and vegetable garden. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music and watching TV especially the Lawrence Welk Show. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren (and their plus ones) and his great grandchildren.
Francesco worked at Craftex Mills as a weaver in the textile industry for 30 years where he produced some of the most beautiful tapestries. When Craftex Mills closed, he continued working at several other companies, including Burlington Coat Factory and Herrs Factory until his retirement.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his Visitation on Thursday August 29th from 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM followed by a Prayer Service at 12:00 PM at the Danjolell – Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Rd. Aston, Pa. Interment following at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
