Meliti1954~2021Frank C. Meliti of Drexel Hill, age 66, died peacefully on April 27, 2021, after a short illness. Frank was born July 15, 1954, in Philadelphia and lived most of his life in Overbrook. He graduated from St. Thomas More High School in 1972 and earned an associate degree in marketing from Pierce Jr. College in 1974. He worked at several organizations throughout his career, including Pearl Pressman Liberty and The Haverford School, among others. Frank was often known to friends as “Wick,” or “Ernie,” but his most beloved nickname was simply “Uncle Frankie” to his many nieces and nephews with whom he remained close. Frank loved sports, especially baseball, Penn State football, and college basketball. He loved traveling and visiting colleges across the country. He especially loved the Southwest and frequently visited Las Vegas. His favorite place was Arizona. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Frank P. and Frances Meliti; his brother, Anthony Meliti; and his brother-in-law, Skip Armandi. Survived by his loving sister, Frances T. Armandi; his sister-in-law, Janis Meliti (Conway); nine nieces and nephews; 20 great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Friday, May 7th from 9:30A.M.-10:45 A.M.. followed by his Funeral mass 11:00AM (ALL IN CHURCH) at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Ave., Springfield, Pa. Interment: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank’s name may be made to St. Thomas More Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
