Gene C. Rogo, 79, of Broomall, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026, at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Born on February 6, 1947, he was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and Temple University.
A natural salesman, Gene enjoyed a career that spanned everything from electronics to cars to consignment sales. His ability to connect with people, paired with his easygoing personality and dry sense of humor, served him well throughout his career.
Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness often spoke louder than words. He had a gift for helping others in quiet, selfless ways, never seeking recognition for his generosity. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, his love of music, and his passion for reading.
A loyal Philadelphia sports fan, he enjoyed cheering on the Phillies and Eagles. But his greatest happiness was found in the simple pleasures of home and family. He loved walking the dogs, sharing a delicious homemade Italian meal with his family, and snuggling on the couch with his beloved wife, Denise, watching their favorite shows. These everyday moments, filled with comfort, laughter, and love, were among his most treasured.
Gene will be deeply missed by his wife of 55 years, Denise (Nee Mastrangelo); his children, Susan, Gene, Jr. (Kathleen Johnston), and Corinne; his brother, Steven; and grandchildren, Jacob, Christopher, and Jacques.
He was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius “Babe” and Norma Rogo, and his sister, Barbara.
His legacy of quiet generosity, unwavering love for his family, and wonderful sense of humor will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the countless small acts of kindness that made a lasting difference in the lives of others.
