Geraldine “Gerri” Rapinesi, 68, of Essington, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 9, 2026.
Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia. Gerri was the loving Mother of Marc Rapinesi (Krissy), daughter of the late Rita Rapinesi and Frank Rapinesi (Camille), sister of Rita Fran Davies (Stephen), Annette Rapinesi and brother of Louis Rapinesi (Toni); her nieces, Arianna and Layla Franco; her cats, Belle and Jack as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Gerri attended West Catholic High School and later earned an IT degree from Drexel University. In 1991, her only son Marc was born. From that day forward, she dedicated her life to loving and supporting him, always making sure his future and well-being were her highest priorities.
Gerri was the proud owner of Gerri’s Gems and Jewels, where her passion for jewelry and her warm, welcoming personality allowed her to build lasting friendships with customers and members of the community. She truly enjoyed connecting with people and loved every conversation she shared.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends while listening to her favorite R&B Music and loved spending time in Atlantic City, where she particularly enjoyed playing the Wonder Woman games. She especially loved going to the beach to lay in the sunshine and listen to the sounds of the ocean. Staying connected with family and friends meant everything to her, and she treasured the many memories she created with those she loved.
Gerri will be greatly missed and she will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the many lives she touched throughout her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to her celebration of life on Tuesday March 24th at 9:30- 10:45 am at Danjolell – Stigale Memorial Home 3260 Concord Rd. Aston. Celebration of life will be at 11 am in our main chapel.
Interment will be private.
