It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother and grandmother, Jane Leggieri. Jane passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025. She was 83 years old.

Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. Those who knew Jane will remember her for her unremitting kindness and untouchable sense of humor. She had a rare gift for making others feel valued, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

Jane touched the lives of countless college students with her unconventional, humorous teaching tactics. Additionally, Jane spent years educating and supporting young women as a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Following retirement, she gave back to her community and church by volunteering at food banks, acting as a COSA Ombudsman while protecting the rights of older adults, and volunteering much of her time as a long-time member of Drexel Hill United Methodist Church.

Her most cherished moments were spent with her family and friends whether it involved visiting art museums, traveling around the world, or just sitting on her porch at the beach.

Jane is preceded in death by her son Brian and her loving partner Robert Ferrante. Jane is survived and missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Robin Gilligan (Charlie); son and daughter-in-law, Keith Leggieri (Jeannine). She’s forever cherished and remembered by her five grandchildren Stephen, Susan (Joe), Jenna (Ryan), Kevin, Michelle, and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn. She leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

A memorial service to honor the life of Jane Leggieri will be held on March 20, 2025. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a service to follow at the Chapel in Toppitzer Funeral Home in Arlington Cemetery at 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.

At the College, I enjoyed working with the "Lovely Jane." She had a wonderful spirit about her. We enjoyed talking about our families. My prayers go to her loved ones. May the Lord give you comfort and strength!

I will always remember your warm smile, dry humor and the times we shared between nursing and radiography....and of course all the college committees we were on together! You are missed.

Jane was an incredible leader and mentor to me. Her positive messages and insight were always so welcoming, and she had a special way of making me feel capable and valued.
