KELLEY

Jeannette M. (nee Panetta), age 83, on June 2, 2026, of Malvern, PA, formerly of West Chester, PA, and Philadelphia, PA.

Predeceased by her parents, Philomena (nee Casasanto) and Albert Panetta, and her sister, Dorothy Hendricks.

Survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Thomas P. Kelley, and their two daughters, Jeannette-Marie Kelley (Raymond Tiberge) and Katherine Grace Kelley. Also survived by her brother-in-law, Timothy Hendricks, and her nieces, Nicole and Kelly.

While lovingly caring for her family and home, Jeannette also pursued a successful professional career. After graduating summa cum laude with a degree in English from Holy Family University and earning a Master of Science in Library Science degree from Villanova University, she served as a reference librarian. At Holy Family University, she combined her love of learning with a talent for helping students and faculty find the resources they needed for their studies and research. At Immaculata University, she continued her work in reference services while also directing the conversion of the library’s catalog and database systems from paper records to electronic formats.

After retirement, Jeannette and Tom dedicated many years to volunteer service through the Salvation Army in West Chester, where she ministered to and assisted those in need in the community, often drawing on her knowledge of Spanish to connect with those she served. She found great joy in literature, especially the works of Shakespeare, Dante, and Jane Austen. Her passion for art, history, and culture inspired many memorable family journeys throughout the United States and Europe. She was also an opera enthusiast, particularly enjoying Aida, and greatly admired the legendary soprano Maria Callas.

A private graveside service was held at Calvary Cemetery.
