LEHMAN
Joan I. “Aunt Joan” (nee Petrucco) on January 5,2026 of Newtown Square formerly of Overbrook – West Phila.
Joan started her career as a phone operator for Bell Telephone and then became a floral designer for Andy’s flowers in Newtown Square. She was a nurturer at heart, finding joy not only in her love of gardening, but in caring for others with warmth and sincerity. She welcomed everyone with a sparkle in her eye and was known for her affectionate smooches that inevitably left a trace of lipstick on your cheek. Joan had a true gift for making people feel seen and valued, embracing both the joys and struggles of family, friends, neighbors, and all whose hearts she touched — her generosity knew no bounds. She took great pride in her appearance, and her inner beauty shone just as brightly as her outer grace.Though she had no children of her own, her nieces and nephews always felt the depth of her love and devotion. The pure joy her great-great niece Hayden brought to her life, and the excitement she felt about Tre’s arrival in March, filled Joan’s heart. Joan will be forever remembered for her warmth, her presence, and the way she made people feel truly loved.
