I am deeply saddened to hear not only of the passing of beautiful Joanie, but some of her siblings. I lived across the street and remember hanging out on the Karpovich porch all summer long. Every Christmas my mom would buy Mary, Joanie’s younger sister, fuzzy slippers b/c it was Mary’s birthday. My brothers and I would go to the Karpovich’s and sing Happy Birthday to Mary on Christmas night. Such fond memories of a wonderful family. Joanie, may you rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I remember how beautiful Joanie was, as we were growing up. I would always be in awe of her. I have nothing but great memories growing up with the Karpovich family as our neighbors.
