John “Spotty and Hodger” Michael Kelleher

John Michael “Spotty and Hodger,” of Aldan, PA, formerly of Havertown, PA. Born September 24, 1961 passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2024. His wife Diane and brother Charlie were by his side. Our family was not expecting for Johns life to be cut so short so soon. We are all devastated by this huge loss and he will be forever missed. He was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold, a smile for everyone he met and was always a joy to be around.

John went to Haverford High School. He was on the wrestling team, great at all sports and a big fan of all Philadelphia sport teams. He also loved playing the daily lottery and scratch off tickets. He loved being outdoors working in the garage, and building camp fires in his backyard.

John was a pressman for Local 16. He closed many a newspaper companies: Main Line Times, The Daily Times, The Philadelphia Inquire and finally The Courier Post of this year. He loved his job and loved the guys he worked with.

He was predeceased by his Dad, Charles Kelleher, 7/21/1985. He missed him deeply every single day since then. His brother Robert, his nephew Scott and most recently his daughter Sarah Kelleher 9/5/2024.

John will always be remembered with much love by his heartbroken wife of almost 30 years, Diane Kelleher, his daughter Megan Kelleher, his mother, Margaret Kelleher, his 5 grandchildren, Lea, Ella, Ava, Brea, and Noah. His brothers, Gerald (Trish), Charles (Lisa), and Mark (Colleen). His nieces and nephews, Danielle, Tony, Tommy, Julie, Karen, Jeffrey, Anna, Gracie, Danny, Rocco and Kelsey. He also leaves behind his sweet 1 year old kitty Lilly who is now missing her favorite person.

He was also greatly loved and will be greatly missed by the many friends he’d made from growing up, as well as his neighbors whom he also was very fond of.

A Memorial Service will be held October 5, 2024 from 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM at 533 Royal Ave Havertown PA 19083

My dearest Uncle “HelloouUuu” I’m heartbroken over your loss but find peace knowing you and Sarah are together in Heaven. When I reflect on my childhood, some of my most memorable memories included weekends at your house with Sarah. Like the time we created our own news paper in your basement. You were so proud of us! Also when we used your paper shredder and shredded every piece of paper in your house filling the entire basement floor with shreds. Then almost lighting the basement on fire (sorry about that!) I also remember one of my favorite new years at your house, you gave us pots and pans to bang outside at midnight and we hit them so hard we dented every single one.. also sorry about that! You were such a fun uncle! You had such an incredible sense of humor that you would make us laugh so hard we had tears in our eyes. I feel truly blessed to call you my uncle. I will miss hearing your voice when you enter a room “helllllLLooOouuuu!!” I will keep your spirit alive by doing that for my children. Give Sarah a hug from me, I miss her so much. I love you both. My dear Kelleher Family, I have so many fun memories of John. Joe McKee said he was the funniest man ever. He really was a very special man. Growing up with him and all of his brothers was the high light of the neighborhood for sure. John gave to all of us his wonderful humor and friendship. I remember him in his youth, watching his dad play softball at Manoa field with my older brothers. I will always remember him throughout all of the years. Great times, the best times were hanging out with him and his brothers, for sure. Speaking for myself, He will now be another Angel in heaven for me to reach out to for guidance.
