John Michael “Mike” Pitner, of Aston, PA passed away peacefully on July 7, 2022 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. Mike was 75 years old.
Mike Pitner was born in Chester, PA on August 20, 1946. He was the oldest child of the late Michael J. and B. Geneva Pitner, formerly of Boothwyn, PA.
Mike graduated from Chichester High School in 1965. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, and then worked for many years with Phoenix Steel Corporation in Claymont, DE. He continued to work in his later years as a Quality Control Inspector at the Port of Wilmington, DE.
Mike was a hard worker who enjoyed tending his gardens and firing up his grill. He was a passionate fan of the Eagles and Phillies and spent many frustrating hours watching them on television. As an Army Veteran, he always enjoyed wearing and displaying the Red, White, and Blue!
Mike is survived by his loving partner, Joanne Rapp Sauter; his children, Gregory Pitner and his wife Rosemarie, Jennifer Kulig, and Dawn Davis; his grandchildren, Zachary and Allison Pitner, and Tyler and Katelyn Kulig; his siblings, Maxine Burke and her husband Austin, and Glenn Pitner; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
