We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved son, John Robert, age 36, on March 23, 2025, of Newtown Square, PA and Towson, MD.
Affectionately known as Big John, he had a radiant smile and was loved by all who knew him. John was a wonderful son, beloved brother, adored uncle and cherished cousin, nephew and friend.
John was an athlete growing up and later became an avid fan of Philadelphia Sports teams. He loved being with his nieces, and they loved when he tossed them around and carried them on his back. He was fortunate enough to have a caring and supportive family and group of friends across two states, and his physical strength and size contrasted with his soft and tender demeanor.
John was a remarkable person and his presence left a lasting impact on those around him. Although his time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness we shared with him will forever remain in our hearts, as will his kindness, strength and spirit.
Survived by his parents, Judith M. (nee Marinelli) and Robert M. Humenick, his sisters, Nicole M. McCarron (Jason) and Christine M. Massey (Daniel), and his nieces, Alexa, Emma, Charlotte, Rosie and Elizabeth. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives & friends are invited to his Visitation Tuesday, April 1st 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM; ALL IN CHURCH at Saint Anastasia Roman Catholic Church located at 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Inurnment follows at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery at 1600 South Sproul Rd. in Springfield, Pa., 19064.
John was a graduate of Marple Newtown High School and American University.
