(nee D’Ambro). “Pop” to his sons Sean X. (wife Dawn), Joseph B. (wife Kelly) and Brendan J. (fiancé Corinne), his daughters Kristina A. (husband David) Harlan, and Shannon K. (husband Matthew) Wood, as well as his late daughter-in-law Krista Kelly.Pop’s legacy includes 15 grandchildren: Alyssa, Kelly (husband Sean), Megan (wife Charity), David, Ryan, Matthew, Kelsey, Gabrielle, Emma, Kimberly, Skylar, Keira, John, Xavier, and Brendan, as well as great-granddaughter Harlyn.Jack leaves as well his brother Brian (wife Cathy) Kelly.Jack attended Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia before transferring to Roxborough High School. He was an exceptional athlete, excelling at football, basketball, track, and baseball. He also served as President of the Roxborough High School Athletic Association and was the recipient of the JD Snyder medal, awarded to Roxborough’s top athlete. He was recruited by the Major Leagues for his baseball pitching prowess.Following high school, Jack became a decorated Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army’s 7th Infantry Division. He was a recipient of the Korea Defense Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation.Jack, Pop, served and delivered many roles to many people. A son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, a friend, a teammate, a coach, a colleague, a mentor, a ‘Guru’.Only a short novel would suffice to tell his story of triumph, tragedy, loss, success, adventure, faith, and his road always traveled, love.All the people that experienced his blue eyes, consistent smile, and words of welcome cling to those memories and the multitude more that are held in the hearts of many. Pop is breathing easy now, running the distance, leading the way, as he always did while he graced our lives.Family and Friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM on Thursday January 20 at SS. Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester PA. The internment will be held immediately following at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Road, Springfield PA.Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening January 19, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Robert L.
