Joseph “Joe” A. DiMeglio Jr.

Joseph A. DiMeglio, Jr. (Joe), passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Joe was a longtime resident of Chester and Aston Township. He was a graduate of Chester High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served from 1967-1969.

Joe was predeceased by his parents Joseph Sr. and Julia and his two siblings Doris (Robert) and Lorraine (Vito) Barbuto.  He is survived by his significant other of many years, Susan (Sue) Sakers.

Upon his discharge from the Army, Joe began working in the family business, DM Welding Fence Company, Inc., which he later owned with his brother-in-law Vito Barbuto.  Known as a master craftsman, Joe, built and designed fences and railings all over Delaware County.

Joe was a longtime member of Delaware County Field & Stream and was dedicated to gun safety.  He was a past Vice-President and Chief Range Officer for Skeet at DCF&S.

He won numerous awards for Skeet Shooting at which he was highly skilled.  In his younger days, he was also an avid hunter.

Above all, Joe was a gentleman who had many pets to whom he was devoted.  Skeeter was Joe’s bestie and he missed him everyday.  Relatives, friends and members of Delaware County Field and Stream are invited to his funeral service on Thursday, March 20^th, 2025 at 10:00am in the main chapel at the Danjolell-Stigale Memorial Home, 3260 Concord Road, Aston, PA.  Interment with military honors will occur immediately following the service, at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery. A viewing will begin at 9:00am at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, Joe requested donations in his name to any Animal Rescue organization of the donors choosing.
