McGeehan 1931-2021 Joseph E. McGeehan, Jr., age of 90, joined his wife, Mary McGeehan, in eternal peace on December 4, 2021, surrounded by his daughters. Joe proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Joe and Mary raised their five daughters in Malvern, PA and were avid parishioners at St. Patrick’s Church in Malvern. Joe was employed by Bell Telephone for over 30 years, drove for Staat’s Oil, worked at Burns Beer Distributorand was the “Job Jar Man” for many years after retiring. His retirement at age 58, put them on the road where he and Mary loved the beauty of our countryand camped in national parks throughout the years. In 1994, they spent the summer as volunteer campground hosts in Glacier National Park, Montana, and fell in love. For 14 years they enjoyed the beauty of this park and helped others create special memories at Glacier. Joe is best known as the”Mayor of Fish Creek Campground”, where he shared his love of Glacier and his knowledge of the best hiking trails, how to properly secure your trash, and how to best avoid an unwelcome encounter with a bear. Joe loved fishing, hiking, biking, the outdoors, his family, and ice cream.Predeceased by his loving wife, Mary McGeehan, his parents, Joseph E. McGeehan, Sr. and Pauline McGeehan, his sisters, Anne Lonergan, Patricia Heesen and Connie Barry. Joe is survived by his five daughters and their spouses, Donna (Paul) Carberry, of West Chester PA, Marybeth (David Lavelle) McGeehan of Venice Florida, Paula (Earl) Hoover of Fort Worth, Texas, Christine (Nicholas) Ficca of Pottstown, PA, and Joann (Andrew) George of West Chester, PA; thirteen grandchildren and their spouses, Joseph (Jennifer) Carberry, Matthew (Katie) Carberry, Kate (Elijah) Ansart, Brian (Jessica) Carberry, Megan Bonifacino, Anthony Bonifacino, Anna (Eliot) Rosenfield, Earl J. Hoover, III, Rachel (Steve) Skibiszewski, Amanda Ficca, Nicholas Ficca, Samantha and Mary George; eight great-grandchildren, Olivia, Grayson, Daniel, James, Gabriel, Farrah, Ellie and Evie.Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, April 7, 2022 10:00AM-10:45AM with a Funeral Mass to follow 11:00 AM atSt. Patrick’s Church 104 Channing Ave, Malvern, PA 19355.
