I met Ken in Grade School in 1967. It wasn't long until we became the best of friends and eventually Brothers. His appreciation for the outdoors and simple things in life enhanced our youthful years. Laughing is free, and we did a lot of it. Through our Teens and High School years our bicycles became motorcycles and we eagerly shared our free time exploring unfamiliar destinations. We'd set up camp and entertain ourselves with conversation by the fire. In the decades that followed, his kind and gentle nature provided comfort among friends and family around the campfire at his secluded home in the woods or his log cabin by the creek. His quick wit and sense of humor kept the logs burning late into the evening. Generous and welcoming, there was always an extra seat around that fire. On April 12th, Ken lost a long struggle with health issues and left us peacefully while at home. His inner strength during this ordeal was remarkable. I will miss what would have been our retirement adventures, but have faith he will be waiting when l follow his path. Until then l'll find comfort in fond and countless memories. Farewell, and Rest Peacefully, Brother.

Ken will be remembered fondly for the warmth and humor he brought to every gathering. I first met him when he pulled up to Applebee’s on his motorcycle for our family dinner—he instantly made me feel welcome and at ease. We enjoyed lively conversations at his home in the peaceful woods behind his house, and I always smiled at the funny stories and quick wit he shared. He loved his cabin upstate, and that connection to the woods will always remind me of him. Our thoughts are with the family—he leaves behind many happy memories.
