Lemuel P Vaughan “Lem” 95 of Broomall passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Lem adored his family and loved spending time with them at the family shack on Chesapeake Bay. Collecting antique cars and shows in Hershey with his sons. Later Lem enjoyed collecting tractors and shows at Rough and Tumble with his grandson Caleb. Cheering his 3 girls on at their dance recitals. He was a member of the PA Horticulture Club and enjoyed forcing bulbs in his greenhouse and entering them in the Philadelphia Flower Show for 20 + years. Lem was a cable splicer/Lineman for Bell Telephone / Verizon for 40+ years where he made lifelong friends. Lem proudly served his Country in the Navy (1946/1947) World War II. Lem was a loving, kind, and generous man. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Predeceased by his loving parents William H. & Mary E (nee Edwards), 3 brothers Robert, Jack and Harold Vaughan, 2 sisters Alice Nel LeRoy & Mary “Mim” Rowe and cherished grandson David Vaughan.
Beloved husband of the late Sarah (Sally) Vaughan (nee Worrell). Devoted father of David (Joyce) Vaughan, Steven (Georgeanne) Vaughan, Sally Phillips (Tim), and Sharon Angelaccio (Steve). Cherished grandchildren Caleb Phillips, Alexis (Corey) Woodcock, Heidi Phillips (Jared), Alyssa Angelaccio, Jason, Danielle, Lorraine, Darlene, Steve, Dustin & KathyJo, 6 great grandchildren, 1 special baby girl on the way and his loved sidekicks Gizmo & Ella.
Services are private.
