Lorraine Mary Denesowicz (née Skladanowski), 89, died Wednesday, January 28, 2026 peacefully at her home in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.
Lorraine was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Charles Skladanowski and Agnes Skladanowski (née Sigda).
Lorraine spent her formative years in Chester. She grew up in her family home on Lamokin Street and was a Majorette at Chester High School from which she graduated in 1955.
Lorraine’s education focused on office/secretarial skills. She excelled at shorthand and was a masterful typist. She was self taught in the 1970’s on “the new technological marvel”, Business Desktop Computing Systems. She cultivated a life-long career as a General Secretary, Payroll Specialist and Office Manager for Western Union, Westinghouse and Town Talk Newspaper among others.
She lived her entire life in Delaware County, PA, and enjoyed traveling and exploring points of interest, both local and distant.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Frank) Aglira; son Peter (Brenda) Denesowicz; grandsons, Anthony Aglira, Daniel Aglira, Peter Jack Denesowicz; and granddaughter, Arly Denesowicz. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thad Skladanowski and grandson, Chucky.
Her final chapter of life placed her in the compassionate care of her daughter Susan and Susan’s husband Frank Aglira.
A private remembrance will be held by the family.
